This knowledge piece examines why growing volumes of climate and green finance are still not reaching many African SMEs. Using Ethiopia as a case, it explores the supply-side, demand-side and enabling-environment barriers that limit access, and argues for financial solutions designed around the realities of enterprises themselves.
